What to Measure

• Chest/Bust — measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape flat and level
• Waist — measure around your natural waistline, letting the tape sit a little loose, not cinched
• Low Hip — with feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and rear

Tips for an Accurate Measurement

• Measure over the kind of clothing you'd actually wear underneath — not bare skin, not a bulky sweater
• Keep the tape parallel to the floor at each point — an angled tape reads inaccurately
• Ask someone to help if you can — self-measuring the waist and hip is harder to get precise alone

Between Two Sizes? Here's How to Decide

If your measurements fall between two sizes on the chart, consider how you like your scrubs to fit. Prefer more room to move through a busy shift? Size up. Prefer a closer, more tailored look? Size down — as long as it doesn't restrict movement at the shoulders or hips.
